This morning, the season 23 cast of Dancing With the Stars is set to be revealed on Good Morning America, but there are a couple of our favorite pros missing from the group pro photo below.
You may notice that Tony Dovolani and Mark Ballas are absent from the pic and they have not been seen on the DWTS social media accounts either. With several former pros returning to the show this season, it looks like there’s not room for everyone.
Entertainment Tonight reports Derek Hough, Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Gleb Savchenko are all returning to the show. And, Cheryl Burke is rumored to come back as well, though she isn’t pictured with the other pros. We’ll just have to see if the Burke rumors are true.
So, what are Ballas and Dovolani up to? Ballas has been singing and playing guitar with his fiance BC Jean at various gigs. And, Ballas recently showed off his choreography skills on So You Think You Can Dance on FOX. As for Dovolani, he announced his departure from the show after 21 seasons of being a part of the cast and the announcement came via Instagram. Dovolani said he wants to spend time with his family, at his dance studios and working with the Tony Dovolani Foundation. In his announcement, Dovolani wrote:
During my break from DWTS season 23. I look forward to traveling across the US to spend time with my DWTS fans, focus on my Dance with Me USA studios and its students, growing my Tony Dovolani Foundation: Golf for Special Needs Children and of course enjoying my family. After 21 consecutive seasons on DWTS, I consider them my second family and I look forward to watching all of my friends and family dance their hearts out this season.
