Before we venture into the Week 8 fantasy football rankings for running backs, let’s take a look at a few RBs you should be adding to your roster, if available.
Alfred Blue, Texans — Starter Lamar Miller left the game with a shoulder injury and was replaced by Blue. Blue got 11 carries and will be the go-to guy if Miller can’t play against the Lions in Week 8.
Devontae Booker, Broncos — C.J. Anderson is still the starter and will likely get the majority of the carries, but Booker just got 17 totes vs. the Texans. Denver’s strong suit is becoming its running game, so Booker could be in line for more work heading forward.
Mike Gillislee, Bills — In an odd turn of events, LeSean McCoy was all but determined out with a hamstring injury, but ended up playing in Week 7. But he re-injured the hammy. Gillislee has put up impressive numbers on limited touches. If McCoy is out, Gillislee will pick up the slack.
On the bye this week are the Rams, Dolphins, Giants, Steelers, 49ers and Ravens. Big losses there including Le’Veon Bell, Todd Gurley and to a lesser extent Carlos Hyde, Jay Ajayi, Rashad Jennings and Terrance West.
