1. Sasha Showcased Her Marksmanship Skills to the New Community
The group continued making their way to the front gates of Alexandria. Carl spotted a little girl peering out of a window at them all. Something nearby startled the group, which caused Daryl to shoot a squirrel. An unknown man let them all in and Daryl brought his newfound miscreant inside for dinner.
The unknown man asked the group to give up their weapons and meet one of their female leaders. Rick chose to not do this at first. In the distance, a zombie could be seen crawling towards the gate. Luckily, Sasha shot it down. Rick noted that it was a good thing they were there with their weapons to help out this new community.
2. Rick Had a Taped Conversation With Deanna Monroe
Rick could be seen inside of a new home. He met someone new named Deanna Monroe. Deanna spoke with Rick in a Q&A session, which was being filmed. Deanna told Rick that she used to be a political figure before the world went to hell. She went on to say that Alexandria is the perfect safe haven for them all, thanks to all the natural good and energy kept there. Deanna explained how she got there, what happened to her family and what led to the development of her community. She told Rick that his group is the 1st survivors they’ve ever considered bringing in.
Rick told Deanna that she should be more careful of the people outside her gates. Deanna continued having a heart to heart with Rick afterwards. Both of them admitted to doing things they were forced to do to survive. Deanna had to exile three men from her community way back when. Deanna made it known that she wanted Rick and his people to help her people survive. Deanna and Rick continued speaking about what the right decision for Rick’s people should be.
3. Rick and the Group Got Used to Their New Homes
Rick’s group gave up their firearms while Deanna told them all that there would be nothing to worry about. Rick, Aaron and Carl could be seen talking in front of two large houses. Aaron told them they could choose which one they want to live in. Rick and Carl entered on of the homes to get a feel for their new surroundings. Carl checked out the working utilities for himself while his father looked on. Rick hopped into the shower and got a good look at himself in the mirror. Rick went ahead and shaved off his epic beard right after. A young woman knocked on the door and provided Rick with some new clothes. The young woman was named Jessie, who noted that she used to be a professional stylist. Rick let her in to take care of his hair while Jessie spoke about her two sons. Jessie talked about her sons and Carl possibly meeting up later on. Rick could sill be seen in disbelief over everything that was happening right now.
Daryl was next up to speak with Deanne. Daryl kept his hunted prey and began to feast while Rick and the group walked around their new porch. Carl and Carol walked into another home to get a good look at the beautiful mansions that had no occupancy. Rick noted that the group was getting split up and that their weapons had been taken. These suspicions made Rick decide to make sure the whole group slept in the same house that evening. Back in the house, Carl heard a strange noise upstairs. He headed up the top attic with a knife in hand. Once he made his way into the room, all he came across was a makeshift form.
When the night finally fell, Rick and everyone took refuge in a single home. Michonne spoke about how good it felt to brush her teeth, plus she was surprised to see Rick’s newly shaven face. Michonne and Rick spoke about their new safe haven and the hopes that it was as safe as it seemed to be. Deanna paid the mall a visit to check on everything. Deanna was shocked to see Rick’s clean stature as well. Most of Rick’s group was given jobs within the new community, but Deanna stated that a few more of them would be given roles later on. While the rest of the group slept, Rick woke up and took a walk into the kitchen. He picked up a knife and held it in his hands with a curious look on his face.
