Jessica McBride is a news reporter covering breaking news, politics and crime for Heavy. Jessica was previously a police beat, government and breaking news reporter for the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and the Waukesha Freeman  newspapers in Wisconsin. She has also written for Milwaukee Magazine, served as the co-editor of Media Milwaukee, and is an expert on the Wisconsin true-crime case behind Netflix's "Making a Murderer."

Education

Jessica graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with a bachelor’s degree in print and broadcast journalism and a master’s degree in mass communication. Jessica has been a senior journalism instructor  at the University of Wisconsin-Milwauke, teaching print and online news reporting, social media and multimedia techniques since 2004.
