Trainwreck 100: Jenny McCarthy

Trainwreck 100

Oh, celebrities: they suck, yet we can’t stop thinking about them. But who is truly the world’s most worthless celebrity? Here at Heavy, we use science to answer these questions. Using a complex series of algorithms that monitor blog mentions, videos, and other Internet and media traffic, we have distilled the world’s celebrities into an orderly list of 100 attention-seeking douchebags. Every day, we’ll debut another entry on the list, counting down to the ultimate celebrity trainwreck.

Celebrities: they sure do have a ton of opinions 4 U. Thankfully, most of those opinions are fairly harmless to the general population. But today’s trainwreck is actually responsible for endangering the lives of thousands of children. No, it’s not Michael Jackson – this list is only for the living. Let’s rewind a bit – if you’d looked at today’s entry ten years ago, she wouldn’t have been anywhere near this list. A hot, funny blonde who didn’t mind taking her clothes off, her appearances on a cult MTV hit had placed her squarely in the cool zone. But as hot girls age, their minds go, and it happened here – after having kids with a husband who also directed her only starring vehicle, this one followed some dubious pseudo-science into a career advising parents to not vaccinate their kids. Because having nice tits makes you a doctor, apparently. Who’s the trainwreck?

Trainwreck 100 Jenny McCarthy

Yes, it’s Jenny McCarthy. Making her public debut in the pages of Playboy, McCarthy seemed to be more than a blonde bimbo, with a snarky sense of humor distinguishing her from her fellow T&A. McCarthy’s movie career basically ended with Dirty Love, directed by her then-husband John Mallory Asher. This astonishingly unfunny gross-out comedy featured Jenny waving her puke-covered rack around and slipping in a puddle of period blood, and tanked hard. The couple divorced soon afterwards and McCarthy took up with Jim Carrey, who had also transformed from a funny TV comedian to a disturbing trainwreck himself, and McCarthy became a crusader against autism, which is all well and good except that her claims that vaccines cause autism came from discredited sources and have exposed many kids to preventable diseases. She’s still got a nice rack, though. You can check out a disturbing scene from Dirty Love below.
