Trainwreck 100: Richard Quest

Trainwreck 100

Oh, celebrities: they suck, yet we can’t stop thinking about them. But who is truly the world’s most worthless celebrity? Here at Heavy, we use science to answer these questions. Using a complex series of algorithms that monitor blog mentions, videos, and other Internet and media traffic, we have distilled the world’s celebrities into an orderly list of 100 attention-seeking douchebags. Every day, we’ll debut another entry on the list, counting down to the ultimate celebrity trainwreck.

Some trainwrecks manage to fly under the radar their whole life, keeping their weirdness hidden from the public eye until the posthumous exposes are written. But it only takes one lapse to get you a spot here, especially if your lapse is one as weird as today’s trainwreck. His day job is a host and newscaster for CNN, but it’s what he gets up to at night that interests me. Openly gay (not that there’s anything wrong with that), he was arrested in 2008 wandering around Central Park high on crystal meth with a rope tied around his dinger. That’s such a major screwup that it earned him a lifetime spot on the 100. Who’s the restrained trainwreck? After the jump.

Richard Quest

Meet Richard Quest. The British-born CNN anchor started out at the BBC before relocating to the States to help Ted Turner anchor his international business coverage. But the lure of the big city proved to be too much for Richard’s dick, as he started doing crystal meth and engaging in some very suspicious activities. It all came to a head with his arrest in the park at 3:40 in the morning high on ice and all tied up. He went to rehab and amazingly kept his job, but we’ll always have this hilarious video of him doing rope tricks to remind us.
