Brian O’Conner (Paul Walker)

Fast and Furious 6 characters, Paul Walker, Brian O'Conner

Who he is:
Brian O’Conner is the protagonist of the Fast and Furious series. He’s been one of the most consistent characters in the franchise, appearing in all but one film. O’Conner has gone from LAPD officer to street racer to wanted criminal to FBI agent over the course of the series, and he’s expecting a child with his on-screen partner in crime, Dominic Toretto’s sister Mia. At the start of Fast 6 his criminal charges prevent him from returning home, and he’ll do anything to get his record wiped clean.

Fast Filmography:
-The Fast and the Furious
-2 Fast 2 Furious
-Fast & Furious
-Fast Five
-Fast & Furious 6

Why you already know him:
Walker has been acting steadily since he appeared in 1986’s Monster in the Closet, but his best known role is far and away the Fast and Furious franchise’s Brian O’Conner.

Fast Fact:
Paul Walker’s first love wasn’t cars — he actually went to school to study marine biology. You can see him living his dream on the National Geographic series Expedition Great White, in which he spent 11 days as a part of a shark-tagging crew.

Fast Lines:

Brian: Nice crib, sarge. It’s a lot better than that last place you confiscated.
Sgt. Tanner: Eddie Fisher built it for Elizabeth Taylor back in the fifties.
Brian: See? Even the cops in Hollywood are Hollywood.

Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel)

Fast and Furious 6 character profiles, Dominic Toretto, Vin Diesel

Who he is:
Dom is the archetypal “bad cop” to Brian’s good, although his character is far from enforcing the law. He’s also a consistent figure throughout the series, appearing in every film except 2 Fast 2 Furious. He’s definitely one to put family first, as seen by his protective relationship with his sister Mia. Dom is a top street racer and a heist mastermind, but this film will see him taking strides with the good guys in order to clear his name.

Fast Filmography:
-The Fast and the Furious
-The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift (cameo)
-Fast & Furious
-Fast Five
-Fast & Furious 6

Why you already know him:
The Fast and the Furious is what put Diesel on the map in 2001, but he’s filled several substantial roles. You’ll recognize Diesel from his parts in Saving Private Ryan, The Iron Giant, xXx, The Chronicles of Riddick and its upcoming sequel Riddick.

Fast Fact:
The dude is kind of a nerd. He’s been an avid Dungeons and Dragons player for over 20 years, and he even wrote the foreword for the commemorative D&D book, 30 Years of Adventure: A Celebration of Dungeons & Dragons.

Fast Lines:

I live my life a quarter mile at a time. Nothing else matters: not the mortgage, not the store, not my team and all their bullshit. For those ten seconds or less, I’m free.

Luke Hobbs (Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson)

Fast and Furious 6: Character Profiles, Dwayne 'The Rock'' Johnson, Luke Hobbs

Who he is:
Luke Hobbs is a high-level member of the Diplomatic Security Service (DSS) who we last saw tracking down Dom and Brian to arrest them. He ended up siding with them to exact his revenge on Hernan Reyes, but knowing he can’t let them walk free he gives them a 24-hour head start before hunting them down once again. Fast 6 finds Hobbs offering a pardon to Dom and his crew in exchange for helping the DSS track down Dom’s ex-girlfriend Letty (Michelle Rodriguez) and the criminal organization she now works for, controlled by Owen Shaw (Luke Evans). If they help him, they’ll be allowed to return home to their lives and families, free of criminal charges.

Fast Filmography:
-Fast Five
-Fast & Furious 6

Why you already know him:
If you don’t already know Dwayne Johnson, you’ve been hiding under … well, you knew where I was going with that. He first found fame as a WWE champion wrestler under his stage name, “The Rock.” He has gone on to launch a respectable film career, grabbing roles in The Mummy Returns, The Scorpion King, Walking Tall, The Other Guys, Get Smart and Tooth Fairy, among others.

Fast Fact:
He’s a football champ! Johnson was on the University of Miami championship football team in 1991, which led to his career as a professional wrestler.

Fast Lines:

Aright listen up! The guys we’re after are professional runners. They like speed and are guaranteed to go down the hardest possible way so make sure you’ve got your thunderwear on. We find ’em, we take ’em as a team and we bring ’em back. And above all else, we don’t ever, ever let them get into cars.

Letty Ortiz (Michelle Rodriguez)

Fast and Furious 6 Character Profiles, Letty Ortiz, Michelle Rodriguez

Who she is:
Letty spent the majority of the series as Dom’s love interest, and they had a chemistry unlike most action-movie onscreen couples. Like Dom, she’s an elite street racer and mechanic — and master thief — but she seems to get it a lot worse than he does. Everyone thought she was dead after a car wreck in the fourth film, but she reappears this time as the second-in-command of an evil criminal organization, which Dom and his crew are hired to take down.

Fast Filmography:
-The Fast and the Furious
-Fast & Furious
-Fast Five (Cameo)
-Fast & Furious 6

Why you already know her:
Known for her “tough chick” roles, you’ve probably seen Michelle Rodriguez in films like Resident Evil, S.W.A.T., Machete, Blue Crush and Avatar. She also appeared in a season of the acclaimed television program Lost. She’s also writing two screenplays.

Fast Fact:
Rodriguez didn’t have a driver’s license when filming started on The Fast and the Furious, so she had to get one in before acting in the movie.

Fast Lines:

I smell… [sniffs air] skanks. Why don’t you girls just pack it up before I leave tread marks on your face?

Mia Toretto (Jordana Brewster)

Fast and Furious 6: Character Profiles, Jordana Brewster, Mia Toretto

Who she is:
Mia Toretto is Brian’s love interest throughout the series. She’s also Dom’s sister, which made for some tension early on. She’s not directly involved with the crew and their troublemaking schemes, but she’s just been there in the background the whole time, generally disapproving of everything. She and Brian were expecting a child last we saw them. Their relationship had suffered some strain, but things seem to be good at the moment.

Fast Filmography:
-The Fast and the Furious
-Fast & Furious
-Fast Five
-Fast & Furious 6

Why you already know her:
While her film rap sheet might not be as long as some of her costars’, Brewster has had some pretty cool roles. You might recognize her as Delilah Profitt from Robert Rodriguez’s The Faculty, and from the soap opera As the World Turns.

Fast Fact:
Brewster went to Yale University, graduating in 2004 with a B.A. in English. That’s no small feat for someone who went on to land the No. 11 spot in the 2011 edition of Maxim’s Hot 100.

Fast Lines:

I’m sorry too, Brian. I’m so sorry that you had to come into my home and pretend to love me. I’m so sorry you ripped my family apart. I’m very sorry that that was hard for you.

Owen Shaw (Luke Evans)

Fast and Furious 6 Photo Gallery Movie

Who he is:
Owen Shaw is the most formidable bad guy the crew has faced thus far, but he’s not just a nuisance — he’s actually evil. A dishonorably discharged ex-military operative, Shaw is the mastermind behind a criminal organization that sells military technology on the black market. He recruited Letty to be his number 2, and Dom and the crew must struggle to stop her.

Fast Filmography:
-Fast & Furious 6

Why you already know him:
You’ve probably seen Luke Evans in his films (The Three Musketeers, Clash of the Titans, Immortals, Robin Hood, The Raven and more) but he’s also an acclaimed theater actor. He’s been in stage productions of Rent and Miss Saigon, most notably. He’s also slated to appear as Bard in the next two sequels to The Hobbit.

Fast Fact:
The guy can sing — he’s starred in many musicals, and he was trained by acclaimed vocal coach Louise Ryan.

Tej Parker (Chris ‘Ludacris’ Bridges)

Fast and Furious 6: Character Profiles, Ludacris, Tej Parker, Chris Bridges

Who he is:
Tej is Brian’s old friend who hosts races in which he allows Brian to compete, though he doesn’t race anymore himself due to a leg injury, or so he says. He referees the races and sells auto parts out of the garage he runs. He’s always there to lend a hand to Brian and Tyrese, allowing them to stay in one of his garages for a time. He later becomes a member of their heist crew as an auto-technician specialist.

Fast Filmography:
-2 Fast 2 Furious
-Fast Five
-Fast & Furious 6

Why you already know him:
He’s Luda! The rapper-turned-actor went by his stage name, Ludacris, until he learned that people actually cared to know his real name. If you haven’t heard one of his singles in the past few years, you just aren’t listening. As an actor, he’s had roles in Crash, Hustle & Flow, Fred Claus, Max Payne and No Strings Attached.

Fast Fact:
He’s a hell of a businessman. Bridges is the co-founder of a record label (Disturbing tha Peace), a co-owner of a cognac brand (Conjure Cognac) and a partner with Soul Electronics, which released his signature headphones in competition with Dr. Dre’s Dre Beats.

Fast Lines:

All right. You each got a barrel to go around down at the end of the road here. Second wave gotta sit tight till your partner crosses this line right here. First team to go down and back twice wins the race … at which point, the losers WILL hand over them keys. Otherwise, you’ll be eating breakfast through straws from now on.

Roman Pearce (Tyrese Gibson)

Fast and Furious 6: Character Profiles, Tyrese Gibson, Roman Pearce

Who he is:
Roman is another friend of Brian’s, who, we found out in Fast Five, met him in juvenile detention. Roman was arrested shortly after Brian graduated from police academy, and he blamed Brian for his arrest simply by virtue of his being a police officer. He and Brian rekindled their friendship through some mischief involving a drug kingpin, and he joined Dom’s crew in Fast Five, adding his skills as a smooth talker.

Fast Filmography:
-2 Fast 2 Furious
-Fast Five
-Fast & Furious 6

Why you already know him:
Ludacris and Luke Evans aren’t the only musicians on this bill — Tyrese is an award-winning R&B singer with another release slated for 2014. He was in Lady Gaga’s video for “Telephone, feat. Beyonce.”

Fast Fact:
He was on Blue’s Clues! The actor/singer portrayed himself on the hit children’s show for one episode in 1999. That was at the height of his music game, and it’s when his public acting career actually began.

Fast Lines:

Come on, man. Guns, murderers and crooked cops? I was made for this, bro.

Han Seoul-Oh (Sung Kang)

Fast and Furious 6: Character Profiles, Sung Kang, Han Seoul-Oh

Who he is:
We first met Han (whose name is a pun on Han Solo … get it?) during The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, when he taught protagonist Sean Boswell how to drive. A wayward gang member, he joined the crew in Fast & Furious when he helped Dom steal fuel tankers, while in Fast Five he’s a precision driver. He falls for fellow crew member Gisele Yashar, with whom he starts a relationship.

Fast Filmography:
-The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift

Gisele Yashar (Gal Gadot)

Fast and Furious 6: Character Profiles, Gal Gadot, Yasher

Who she is:
When we first met Gisele Yashar, she was the liaison to the crew from drug kingpin Braga. She develops feelings for Dom; he doesn’t reciprocate. The two end up helping each other out in crucial, often lifesaving ways, and she joins the crew as their weapons expert, drawing on her background with the Israeli Mossad. She and Han hook up and travel together.

Fast Filmography:
-Fast & Furious
-Fast Five
-Fast & Furious 6

Why you already know her:
Well, you might not know Gal Gadot yet unless you’ve seen the F&F films. She appeared in a Maxim spread about women of the Israeli army (who are notoriously beautiful). So far her resume is small, but that’s sure to change.

Fast Fact:
She was Miss Israel in 2004. Her beauty will carry her far in her chosen industry — expect to see a lot more of this Middle Eastern bombshell.

Elena Neves (Elsa Pataky)

Fast and Furious 6: Character Profiles, Elsa Pataky, Elena Neves

Who she is:
In Fast Five Elena Neves was a Rio police officer who worked with Luke Hobbs’ team to help track down Brian and Dom. She was chosen for the task because she knew the favelas (slums) well and for her rigid moral fortitude. Once she starts to believe that Brian and Dom are innocent of the murder of three DEA agents, she starts a relationship with Dom.

Fast Filmography:
-Fast Five
-Fast & Furious 6

Why you already know her:
If you’re a Spanish speaker, you probably know Elsa Pataky from any one of the films on her lengthy resume. If not, you might have only seen her in Fast Five, but stay tuned because this role could catapult her into super-stardom.

Fast Fact:
She’s a brainiac — Elsa is fluent in English, Spanish, Romanian, Italian and French.

Fast Filmography:
