Steve Martin Has Secret Baby, is First-Time Dad at 67

Steve Martin is "thrilled" about having a baby with wife Anne Stringfield

He’s older than some grandparents, but that hasn’t stopped 67-year-old comedy legend Steve Martin from having his first child with wife Anne Stringfield, 41. According to the New York Post, the couple had their kid back in December, but they’ve done an exceptional job at keeping it a secret. A source told the Post, “They are thrilled. They worked hard to have the baby.”

The two have not made a public statement on the baby. The only reason anyone knows about the little bundle at all is because the happy new parents were seen doting on the child near their Los Angeles home.

Even their wedding was kind of a secret — the onetime New Yorker writer wed Martin at his home in 2007 among guests like Tom Hanks and Diane Keaton and best man Lorne Michaels. No one was told that it was a wedding ahead of time.
