Holy smokes! Rush Limbaugh was right, Obama is the prince of darkness! Well, maybe that’s the case, but it’s probably more likely there’s just a staffer on the History Channel’s miniseries, The Bible, with an ax to grind.
Everyone from conspiracy theorists, to evangelical Christians, to left wing liberals have been in a tizzy over the uncanny resemblance of Obama to Satan featured in Sunday’s episode of the popular miniseries.
The frenzy of speculation is believed to be attributed to FOX News knight of douchery, Glenn Beck, after he tweeted on Saturday…

Whether the similarity was done on purpose or not we’ll likely never know, but of course the suits over at the History Channel scurried to cover their asses with the following response.
History Channel has the highest respect for President Obama,” the network says in a statement. “The series was produced with an international and diverse cast of respected actors. It’s unfortunate that anyone made this false connection. HISTORY’s ‘The Bible’ is meant to enlighten people on its rich stories and deep history.”
Suuuuuuure, History Channel, you’ve got respect for the President and just had to cast Moroccan actor actor Mehdi Ouzaani in the part Beelzebub because there were no non-Obama look-a-like actors who could pull off the role. Where was Anthony Hopkins? That guy just exudes a creepy evilness that would make him perfect for the part.
Intentional political jab or simply a coincidence hyped up by social media? It’s anyone’s guess.
