Lohan went on Letterman’s show to promote her latest appearances in Scary Movie 5 and on Charlie Sheen’s Anger Management. It was her first time talking with the host in six years. Letterman couldn’t help but make fun of her in his opening monologue joking that Lohan is on the show as a part of community service and that if she shows up, he owes Paul, Letterman’s music director, five dollars.
But the conversation got awkward when Letterman poked and prodded the 26-year-old actress about how many times she’s been in rehab and what she’s going for. LiLo made light of the situation and said that she was going to get healthy and that rehab is a blessing.
“I think, to be honest, I’m the happiest when I’m working and the healthiest, and I think this an opportunity for me to, you know, focus on what I love in life,” Lohan said. “And I don’t think it’s a bad thing. I think it’s a blessing… and not a curse.”
