Ferrell first worked his way into our hearts with his hilarious sketch comedy on Saturday Night Live. It didn’t take long for him to tackle the silver screen. Soon, Ferrell hit gold with movies like Old School and Elf, both of which snagged him nods for Best Comedic Performance at the MTV Movie Awards.

On a wise-cracking roll, Ferrell continued to bust out more cult classics like Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, Step Brothers, Zoolander, Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby and Blades Of Glory.

5. In His Acceptance Speech for Best Movie, Josh Whedon Made Fun of Justin Bieber

Rebel was obviously well-prepared for the show. Apparently Perez Hilton took a liking to her.

8. Two Other Pre-Selected Awards Were Given: The MTV Trailblazer Award to Emma Watson, and the MTV Generation Award to Jamie Foxx

The Trailblazer Award is given to a phenomenal new talent. Emma Watson debuted of course in Harry Potter as Hermione Granger, but she has continued to push her career to the limits even after being part of such a huge and successful series.

The Generation Award “is given to an artist who has shown us a variety of impressive roles, a personal and professional flair and of course, an awesome level of talent.” Jamie Foxx was given the award on the basis of his all around talent and long history of being an amazing entertainer.

9. Jamie Foxx Wore a Trayvon Martin T-Shirt

Trayvon

As the winner of the Generation Award, he has the right to make a political statement. If you don’t remember, Trayvon was shot by George Zimmerman in a white-on-black Florida slaying. Many people to this day think it was a huge injustice, and that George Zimmerman murdered him out of cold blood at best, and racism at worst. Here’s the wikipedia link.

10. Twitter Made Fun of Kim Kardashian for Being There

Honestly, it would be way more awesome if the MTV Movie Awards gave something out for best sex tape.
