Amanda Bynes was arrested late Thursday night after allegedly throwing a bong out of her New York City apartment when police showed up at her door in response to a disturbance call, reports E! News.
According to sources, a doorman at the 26-year-old’s apartment on West 47th Street called police to report that she was smoking marijuana in the lobby. When police arrived, they found Bynes in her apartment and saw a bong as she opened her door. The starlet then apparently grabbed the bong and tried to hide it by throwing it out of her window on the 36th floor. The officers also noted that her apartment reeked of pot and was filled with smoke.
Bynes was arrested on charges of reckless endangerment, tampering with evidence and criminal possession of marijuana.
The star was taken to Roosevelt Hospital to be evaluated and then to a Midtown police station to be processed. She was transferred to Manhattan central booking where she was expected to spend the night before a court appearance on Friday.
The train wreck celebrity, who also has a DUI case pending in Beverly Hills, has been receiving much attention as of late for her bizarre behavior and eccentric Twitter posts.
