— Katie Holmes News (@KatieHolmes66) July 12, 2013
Apparently, years ago at Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes’ wedding, Remini approached the leader of the church, David Miscavige, to ask him where his wife was. Reportedly, he nastily replied with:
You don’t have the f—ing rank to ask about Shelly.
According to The New York Post, Mrs. Miscavige hasn’t been seen in public since 2007. Anyone else find that strange at all?
As a result of that innocent question, Remini was put through a series of interrogations as well as blacklisted throughout the church.
Of course, a rep for Scientology is denying the claims.

4. Remini Was Betrayed Within the Church
Leah Remini was apparently a member of the church for 30 years, so this definitely comes as a surprise to many that she has decided to leave. The actress had donated millions of dollars to the church over the years because she believed in their organization. No more.
A source revealed to The New York Post that church friends Remini had for almost 30 years wrote internal reports about her which caused an investigation on her family by the church. It was because of this that Remini debated keeping going public about her leaving the church.
When she sees what the church tries to do. She has heard they use people to scare you into silence.
5. Leah Remini Has Quit Because of Member Abuse & Corruption
The same source explained that:
Remini is quitting because of policies that don’t allow parishioners to question Miscavige’s management or the reported abuse of members of its Sea Org religious order — and for forcing followers to “disconnect” from family members branded as “suppressive persons” if they choose to leave the church.
