Last night, MTV’s show Catfish went Live, which has caused a big comotion. Check out our 5 Fast Facts about the show, how you can get advice from the Catfish cast, & things you thought you knew but you really didn’t.


1. The Catfish Crew Went Live

The Live show prompted Twitter followers and viewers to incorporate the hashtag ‘#askcatfish’ in their tweets and get real advice from the cast.


2. Catfish is About Finding the Truth

For those of you not familiar with the show, it focuses on online relationships and finding out the truth behind each person’s identity. Couples are brought together, while others are torn apart. Many online relationships are built on some sort of fabrications or lies, so the Catfish crew helps hunt down your love to find out if it’s really worth it or what you thought.


3. The Show Gives Definition to the Word Catfish

On the show’s Facebook page they actually list the definition of the word ‘catfish’.

To pretend to be someone you’re not online by posting false information, such as someone else’s pictures, on social media sites usually with the intention of getting someone to fall in love with you.
