Interview with Seth Meyers & Michael Shoemaker at San Diego Comic-Con 2013

At the San Diego Comic-Con 2013, ‘SNL’s’ Seth Meyers and Michael Shoemaker spoke to Heavy.com about their new animated show on Hulu, The Awesomes.

Seth Meyers is a pretty busy guy. Most know him as one of the cast members of the iconic sketch-comedy show Saturday Night Live — where he plays the main anchor for the shows “Weekend Update” sketch, but he also serves as the show’s head writer and will be taking over Jimmy Fallon’s spot as the host of “Late Night.” But, Meyers also will be starring and writing in the first ever animated original program on Hulu, called The Awesomes.

Starring a number of past and present SNL stars, including Bobby Moynihan, Bill Hader, Keenan Thompson, and Taran Killam, the show focuses on a group of young, up-and-coming, superheroes — but they’re led by the goofy PROCK, voiced by Meyers.

Heavy.com spoke to Seth and Michael Shoemaker, the creators of the program, about the origins of The Awesomes, Meyers’ busy schedule, and working with Hulu. Watch the interview below!
