WATCH: Kristin Chenoweth Sings Anthony Weiner ‘Popular’ Parody

Kristin Chenoweth couldn’t help but have her turn at making fun of Anthony Weiner during an appearance on The Tonight Show Tuesday night by singing a hilarious parody about the disgraced mayoral candidate’s latest sexting escapades.

The song parodied Popular, which was made famous by the Broadway star in the hit musical, Wicked.

Chenoweth gave Weiner a shout out on Twitter before the episode aired.

“You will be popular, the right kind of popular,” sings the jubilant 45-year old actress. “I’ll teach you to zip your fly / You won’t be that guy with a camera down his pants.”

Weiner’s wife, Huma Abedin, who publicly announced her decision to stay with the the former congressman, even received a mention in the song.

“She should take a page from Hillary,” Chenoweth sings. “And become independent of her hubby/while you sport a chatroom chubby–seriously Huma, if that guy doesn’t zip up and unplug, just kick him to the curb.”

After resigning from Congress due to a sexting scandal in 2011, Weiner, who is running for New York City mayor in 2013, got caught in a second sex scandal when allegations were made that Weiner, using the alias Carlos Danger, had continued sexting after his resignation.
