Today’s news is that beloved actress and mother Tori Spelling is facing major financial woes right now. In Spelling’s new memoir “Spelling It Like It Is,” the star reveals how she became broke so quickly. When Spelling and her family moved to Malibu, California in 2012, which hurt them financially, so they decided shortly after to sell their Malibu home. That decision proved to be poor, losing hundreds of thousands on the sale of it, according to Radar Online.

From there, Spelling rented a huge, elaborately decorated home in Westlake Village, admitting:

We couldn’t afford to buy a house. Yet now we were living a lie in a grand house.

This is so sad to hear as Spelling and her husband Dean McDermott are raising four children and are such a wonderful family.

Upon the birth of Spelling’s fourth son Finn, the actress suffered serious complications, so her mother Candy covered the hospital bills for her. Then, when Oxygen cancelled Tori Spelling’s reality show in 2012, Spelling had to face the facts. The Hollywood couple has no savings aside from their retirement accounts and things are not looking good.

It’s not my fault I’m an uptown girl stuck in a midtown life. I was raised in opulence. My standards are ridiculously high. We can’t afford that lifestyle, but when you grow up silver spoon it’s hard to go plastic … I can’t afford to live like this anymore. Our circumstances have changed. In between the moves, the store, spending a year in and out of the hospital, and Tori & Dean being canceled, our bank account has taken a major hit.

With Spelling’s store invenTORI draining her of money as well, the family’s financial manager has had to pull back the reins in a major way. One important decision was advising against husband Dean McDermott getting a vasectomy.

Hollywood News Daily states that Spelling is really hoping that her new reality series Tori and Dean: Cabin Fever, which debuts this Spring, will be a winner.

…We’ll keep our fingers crossed for you, Tori and Dean!
