The child of Hollywood A-listers Sean Penn and Robin Wright is opting out of acting to pursue modeling. The 22-year-old Dylan Penn, whose looks have been compared to those of her mother, already secured modeling gigs and flings with adored actors. Here is what you need to know about the blonde beauty who is seizing the spotlight.


1. Her Parents Are Sean Penn & Robin Wright

Dylan’s parents were divorced in 2010 after 14 years of marriage. Life & Style revealed that Wright, 47, is engaged to Lone Survivor actor Ben Foster, who’s 14 years younger.

This year, Wright brought her two children, Dylan and Hopper, to the Emmy Awards where she was nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her role in House of Cards.

Hopper,20, gained media attention this year when he had a run-in with the paparazzi, uttering racial and gay slurs at an African-American photographer.


2. She is Rumored to Be Dating Robert Pattinson

In September, rumors surfaced when the couple was spotted together at Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood after seeing a show at The Viper Room. Pictures of the couple from that night spread online.

In the January 2014 issue of GQ, she refuted the rumor, saying, “We’re talking about Rob here? That’s been very foreign to me. But actually kind of funny, because it’s all bulls–t.” The model has also been linked to Vampire Diaries‘ star Steven McQueen.

3. She Models for David Todd

Todd is used to working with celebrity children, as another of his clients is Paris Hilton. He prides himself in fostering a close-knit team of models. He told edge, “I have such close relationships with the models I represent, it’s kind of like a family. Some of them I’ve repped since the beginnings of their careers, since they were kids. Some of them were still in high school, so I know their mothers… their fathers.” The L.A.-based agency tweeted the photo below, welcoming Dylan on January 31.


4. She Dropped Out of College to Pursue Modeling and Screenwriting

In GQ, Penn explained when she knew she wanted to be a movie writer. She was about 10 years old and her parents left her home alone with her brother for the first time.

“My mom tucked me in her bed and put on Annie Hall and said, ‘Don’t worry, it’ll be fine.”

Although she attended the University Of Southern California, she left before completing her studies in history to launch a career in modeling and acting.


5. She is the New Face of Gap Outlet

The Gap campaign will launch in January and Dylan will be styled by cohost of E!’s Fashion Police, George Kotsiopoulos. The ads will be featured online, in print and in stores.
