Police raided Justin Bieber’s home last week for evidence in the vandalism case against him. Today he was arrested … but not for the reasons you may think. It now appears that Bieber has a whole new set of legal issues to deal with. Read on for the facts.

1. Justin Bieber Has Been Arrested For Drag Racing

Cops raided Bieber’s house last week for evidence in the vandalism case against him. But, the star has not been arrested because of anything that occurred on that day … According to the Miami Herald:

Pop star Justin Beiber was arrested in Miami Beach early Thursday on charges of DUI and drag-racing.

While some Beliebers fear this arrest could mean that their beloved Bieber would be deported back to Canada, it is highly unlikely to occur. Immigration attorney Michael Wildes tells E! News she feels Bieber would not be deported for this crime:

The truth is, crimes are crimes and the government has a strong policy of pursuing individuals who are here on temporary visas if the case warrants it. However, I do not believe that this case warrants it.

In addition:

The bad-boy musician’s entourage had apparently used their cars to block traffic on Pine Tree Drive at 26th Street, a residential area, at 4:30 a.m., creating a drag strip for the young star, who was in a Lamborghini.

TMZ reports that Bieber had just left a night club and was driving a yellow Lamborghini when police spotted him in a residential neighborhood.

Apparently, Bieber had beautiful model Chantel Jeffries in the car with him.

ABC News reports that this incident is a first-degree misdemeanor, which could “get him up to six months in jail and have his license suspended for six months”.

Bieber was taken to county jail for processing. Miami Beach Police Detective Vivian Hernandez added that Bieber cannot be bailed out until after 12 p.m., because of a mandatory eight-hour drying out period after a DUI arrest.

2. Bieber Was Under The Influence

Miami Beach Police Chief Raymond Martinez told the Miami Herald that Justin Bieber was definitely under the influence of drugs. Tests were taken for proof. TMZ reports that Bieber was given field sobriety tests on the scene, but failed.

3. Rapper Khalil Was Also Arrested

Apparently, rapper Khalil was also arrested on the scene, as he was driving the red Lamborghini, participating in the drag racing. Khalil is a well-known rapper with Def Jam Records.

4.Khalil Isn’t the Only Friend of Bieber’s to Get Caught Up in His Legal Issues

Bieber’s friend Lil Za was arrested on drug possesion when Bieber’s house was raided for surveillance videos last week. It seems that Bieber’s been hanging with the wrong crowd … or is it the other way around?

Here’s a photo of all the cops surrounding the Biebs estate while conducting the search:

It’s pretty known at this point that Justin Bieber is suspected of vandalizing a neighbor’s home with about two dozen eggs. In addition, because the damages equal over $20,000, the charge is now listed as a felony. This new arrest will definitely not help Bieber’s present case.

5. Justin Bieber Resisted Arrest

Though he was not violent, Bieber apparently was incoherent and resisted arrest, holding his hands in his pockets. He also did not seem to be carrying a valid drivers’ license.
