Actor Jared Padalecki had no choice but to delete an insensitive tweet calling Philip Seymour Hoffman’s death “stupid.” The actor has over 1.2 million Twitter followers, and many were shocked to see this tweet posted hours after Hoffman’s death.

His attempt at an apology were these two tweets.
I didnt mean PSH is stupid or that addiction isnt a reality. I simply meant I have a different definition of "tragedy".
