4. They’ll Be Performing at V Festival This Summer

Along with Justin Timberlake, Bastille, The Killers, Ed Sheeran, Blondie, Traine, Jason Derulo, Rudimental, and many others, Kodaline will be performing at V Festival this summer from August 16-17, 2014. V Festival is a music festival held every year in the UK and is sponsored by Virgin Media.


5. The Band Used to Be Called “21 Demands”

Kodaline is based out of Ireland and was originally known as 21 Demands. The band changed its name to Kodaline in 2011 and consists of four members – Stephen Garrigan, Vinny May, Jason Boland, and Mark Prendergast. Bass player Boland didn’t join the group until January 2012, though. According to Wikipedia:

The band made chart history in March 2007, when their debut single “Give Me A Minute” topped the Irish Singles Chart; becoming the first independently released track to achieve the feat.

Their music has been featured on hit TV shows including The Vampire Diaries, Grey’s Anatomy, and MTV’s Catfish.
