Savannah Guthrie announced on this morning broadcast of The Today Show that she married Michael Feldman and is expecting his child. Here’s what you need to know about the new husband and father-to-be.


1. He Works for a Communications Firm


His firm is The Glover Park Group, which according to it’s website, has offices in Washington D.C. and New York. He serves as a Founding Partner and Managing Director.


According to the Washington Post
, the couple is based in New York, but Feldman commutes to D.C. regularly for business.


2. He Spent 8 Years in the Clinton/Gore White House

On his Linkedin page, it states that he was the Senior Advisor to Vice President Gore for seven years.

Guthrie did serve as the White House correspondent for NBC News. According to the Washington Post, the pair met in D.C.

He has famous friends from his time in the capital.
In fact, Washington Life magazine covered his 40th birthday party.
It was celebrated at Press Secretary Joe Lockhart’s house with guests like Jon Bon Jovi.
U2 even presented him with a recording of them singing “Happy Birthday.”

5. He’s Been Dating Savannah for 5 Years


According to People, the couple met at a mutual friend’s birthday party in 2008. In 2013, she told the magazine that she wasn’t sure about kids since she is older.

The pair married in the Tuscon, Arizona desert on Saturday. The Daily Mail reported that the ninety guests in attendance included fellow NBC employees, Matt Lauer, Al Roker, Willie Geist and Chuck Todd.

That evening, she revealed to her guests that she is 4 months pregnant, and today, told the world from her anchor desk at the Today Show.

On the show, she said, “I’m so happy to tell the world. Because I can’t suck in this gut anymore.”
