Not only is this the 75th anniversary of the film, it’s an unexpected gathering of the Garland children as the three have been on rocky terms over the years. According to The Hollywood Reporter:
Garland’s three children haven’t always gotten along, but they are said to be on good terms these days and enthusiastic about this opportunity to celebrate their beloved mother in such a high-profile way.
According to the NY Daily News:
Garland — who played Dorothy Gale in the hit movie — had Oscar-winner Minnelli with her second husband, director Vincente Minnelli. Actor-singer Lorna and media-shy Joey Luft were born to Garland’s third husband, and also manager, Sid Luft.
