Porn Star Layton Benton: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know

The adult film star Layton Benton, known for her roles in movies like The Bomb Booty and Doublicious, is suing Chase Bank. Read on for the details on the lawsuit and all about Benton.

1. Benton Claims That Chase Closed Her Account Because of her Career

Layton Benton is suing Chase bank for closing her account. She claims that the bank closed her account because she makes adult films. Page Six reports that:

Benton claims she was screwed by the bank when they abruptly shut down her account, containing thousands of dollars, earlier this month.

Another porn actress has spoken up against Chase as well. The Daily Mail reports:

Pornographic actress Teagan Presley, who has a masturbatory device modeled from her body, told adult industry blog XBiz News a Chase employee said the reason for the termination was because she was in the ‘adult business’.

2. Chase Supposedly Told Benton That her Account Was a “Risk”

Benton told Page Six:

I am going to take legal action. Chase told me my account was ‘a risk,’ after they closed it without even calling me. I had a few thousand dollars in there, and they told me I’d have to wait ten days to get a check. I literally went to the bank and cried, saying ‘You can’t just take someone’s money’.

Unfortunately, Benton added that:

The worst part is that this goes on your credit history, making it hard for me to open another account.

3. She Told the Bank she Was a Model, Not a Porn Star

According to Benton, she originally told the bank that she was a model and isn’t sure how they found out she was a porn star. Nonetheless, she feels that it shouldn’t matter what she does for a living.

I never told Chase I am an adult film star, I said I am a model, I am trying to figure out how they ever found out about my line of work. The bank shouldn’t get to decide what my career should be. It is just wrong.

4. Sources Revealed That Benton Is One of Four Porn Stars to Have Had Their Accounts Closed

Page Six has done some digging and sources have revealed some interesting information:

Sources say Benton is one of at least four porn stars whose accounts have been shut down by Chase because they have been flagging payments for work including webcam appearances as “irregular activity.” One source said that the closure of her account and the bank’s failure to deliver a reason could be because it is conducting a further investigation into transactions on Benton’s account.

In addition, to this, Daily Mail has reported that the number of adult film stars who have had their accounts closed by Chase is actually much higher:

JP Morgan Chase has reportedly ordered the closure of hundreds of bank accounts registered to the names of people who work in adult entertainment, sparking outrage and confusion across the industry.

5. The Bank Sent Benton a “Discouraging” Letter in Regards to Closing her Account

While Chase bank has yet to comment on the incident with Benton, they did send her a letter in regards to her account being closed. However, no explanation as to why it was being closed was given. The letter read:

We recently reviewed your account and determined that we will be closing it.

The letter also orders her to:

cancel all automatic deposits that you have set up with employers, government agencies … destroy your debit or ATM card … We may also report the account to credit reporting agencies, which could discourage other banks from opening an account for you.
