‘DWTS’ Mark Ballas Badly Injured During Finale Rehearsals – Will He Be Able to Compete?

Mark Ballas has suffered a painful shoulder injury on Dancing With the Stars, which will make it the second time he’s injured his should while working on the show over the years. Reportedly, Ballas was in rehearsals with Candace Cameron Bure when the injury occurred. A spokesperson told Us Weekly:

His shoulder popped out during a lift and he was taken by ambulance to the hospital. He was treated and released but, it remains unclear whether he’ll be able to perform on Monday’s show.

People gives the full report on how the incident went down and who was there to lend a hand:

The injury occurred at the CBS studio where Dancing is taped. Ballas and Bure were in the middle of a complex maneuver that involved Ballas lifting the actress onto his shoulders when the injury occurred. Fellow pro dancers Derek Hough and Cheryl Burke were at the studio and rushed to Ballas’s side on the ballroom floor.

It hasn’t been announced if Ballas will be able to dance tonight on part one of the finale. Ballas has been encouraged to sit out, but he insists he wants to dance. Another pro dancer is being versed in his routines just in case. Ballas hasn’t spoken much on the subject, but did post a tweet thanking fans for their support.
