Update: It has been reported that X-Men: First Class screenwriters Ashley Miller and Zack Stentz have signed on to compose this film’s script. Roberto Orci (Transformers, Star Trek) has joined the movie as its executive producer.
For anyone who grew up as a byproduct of the 90′s, this next bit of news should make you extremely giddy with glee – Lionsgate Films and Saban Brands have announced that they’re planning to debut a brand new Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers film in the near future.
The multicolored, martial arts-powered live-action super heroes became an integral part of the 90′s and soon took over the world of TV, toys/action figures, books, video games, movies etc. Two feature length films (1995′s Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers: The Movie and 1997′s Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie) have already been released thus far.
The franchise is still going strong today with the current run of Power Rangers Megaforce and the next installment in the long-running series called Power Rangers Dino Charge.
