Former Disney star Tiffany Thornton is being accused by her husband, Chris Carney, of abducting her children, according to TMZ.
A source claiming to represent Thornton told TMZ, “Mr. Carney’s claims are false and are being dealt with in the proper forum.

1. Her Husband Has Gone to the LAPD
Chris Carney, former lead singer with the band, The Prom Kings, filed a report with the LAPD, claiming Thornton has run off with their kids. Carney had been posting on Instagram about how much he was missing his sons:
2. The Mayor of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Might Be Helping Thornton
Carney also says that his mother, Ruth Carney, the mayor of Hot Springs, Arkansas, is helping Thornton. Ruth Carney was last in the national news around the time of the tenth anniversary of 9/11 when she said “If my sons had been on those two planes there would not have been a 9/11.” Prior to entering politics, Ruth Carney worked with abused and neglected children.
3. Thornton Just Gave Birth on March 1
Thornton just gave birth to her second son, Bentley, on March 1. The couple’s other son, Kenneth, who is 20 months old.
4. The Couple’s Problems May Have Been Caused by Religion
The TMZ report states:
Carney tells cops …. religion may be the catalyst for the alleged child stealing. She’s very religious and deeply resents the fact that he’s not.
Though an Arkansas Times report from 2011 states that Carney “found Jesus” while he was in rehab. Part of his rehab was motivated by a cocaine possession charge in 2007.
5. At the Couple’s Wedding, Demi Lovato Was One of Thornton’s Bridesmaids
Thornton and Carney were married in November 2011, one of her Sonny With a Chance co-stars, Demi Lovato, was a bridesmaid. In a previous interview, Thornton said that Lovato needed a boyfriend “who has a very strong faith.”
In a People magazine article announcing the couple’s engagement, Carney is not listed as a musician but as a court officer.
