On episode 3, Dylan talks about how he wants a one-on-one date because he wants to tell Dorfman about his rough past. Apparently, his sister passed away from drugs and then his brother turned to drugs while grieving his little sister’s death. As a result, his brother passed away as well. Dylan wants to be able to tell Dorfman all this, but ends up confiding in Chris Soules.
2. On Episode 4, Dylan Gets His First One-On-One Date

Dylan finally gets his first one-on-one date with Andi Dorfman on the 4th episode. The two take an old train ride via the Essex Steam Train in Connecticut while the rest of the guys settle into their new digs at the Mohegan Sun hotel.
Towards the end of their date, Dylan finally opens up to Andi about his family. Dylan gets a rose from Andi and moves her to tears.
3. His Father Was Never in the Picture
When he opens up to Andi on his one-on-one date, Dylan tells her that his father left his family and was never really in the picture. With everything that has gone on with his family, it’s his mother who really gave her support and was there for him all his life.
4. Dylan Petitt Reportedly Works at Walter & Shuffain P.C.
Dylan works at an accounting firm in Boston, where he’s from. Walter & Shuffain P.C. describes itself as:

5. He Ran His Own Business While in College
Dylan Petitt ran his own business while he was still in college. Dylan had an internship with College Works Painting that helped him learn so much about being an entrepreneur and begin his own company.
