Kate_Stoltzfus has been spending her days searching for a plastic surgeon in NYC. The Breaking Amish: Return to Amish star told Life & Style on Wednesday that she plans on getting a nose job to further her career. Looks like we won’t be seeing the 23-year-old back in a bonnet anytime soon.
Here’s what you need to know:
1. She Wants Her Own Spin-Off Series
Stoltzfus hopes that her successful modeling career will lead to her own spin-off series. US Weekly reports that Kate’s reps are telling her not to be a part of anymore Amish spin-offs, especially since Kate ‘hates‘ her cast mates. A show insider said that Kate doesn’t get along other Breaking Amish stars since they don’t approve of her modeling dreams.
When TMZ paparazzi stopped Stoltzfus on the streets last December, she said she’d consider posing in Playboy if the opportunity came up. Reporters then asked her if she’d be criticized by her Amish family, to which Stoltzfus said that her parents and friends don’t subscribe to magazines like that.
2.She Changed Her Name For Her Career
Stoltzfus recently dropped the ‘fus’ from her last name for modeling gigs– her agency believes the name change makes her more marketable.
Stoltzfus’s family isn’t too happy with their daughter stripping down into bra and panties for her shoots, though. She told the New York Post:
They know what I am doing but they avoid the subject.
3. She’s Doctor Shopping In New York City
Stoltzfus reportedly visited plastic surgeon Dr. Stephen T. Greenberg on June 5. Some sources are reporting that the Return to Amish cameras missed out on Stolzfus’s meeting with the plastic surgeon, since the meeting hasn’t aired in any episodes.
4. She’s Been Charged With a DUI
— Life & Style Weekly (@Life_and_Style) June 19, 2014
In 2012, Stoltzfus admitted that she was arrested for a DUI right before Breaking Amish started shooting. Stoltzfus was charged in Boca Raton, Florida, after partying one night. She told Starcasm:
I got charged with a D.U.I., so it was like the worst thing in my life. I’m pretty sure my dad’s gonna freak out. My mom’s gonna cry. It makes me feel like a horrible person.
Stoltz says that since she started modeling, her relationship with her family has been rocky. She tells TLC,
Since I’ve left the Amish, my parents aren’t happy with me living in New York or pursuing modeling. I’ve come so far and wouldn’t change it for the world, but sometimes I do wonder how everyone’s doing back home.
5. She Modeled In Lingerie For Maxim
Stoltzfus left her Amish family in 2012 to pursue her modeling dreams. She currently works with Major Model Management, and posed for Maxim in July 2013. Since moving to New York, Stoltzfus has made it a point to eat healthy, and take good care of her body. Seems natural that a nose job is next on the list, since Stoltz gets a lot of attention from the press because of her super conservative background. While Stoltzfus hasn’t been ostracized by her family, she isn’t welcomed too warmly these days.
