The liars better watch out, because there’s a new girl in Rosewood. 22-year-old Chloe Bridges will be playing Sydney on PLL this season, and we can’t wait to see how adding yet another beautiful brunette to the mix will spice things up.

Here’s what you need to know about the Honduran actress.

1. She Almost Beat Demi Lovato Out For the Lead In ‘Camp Rock’

Remember that awkward scene in Camp Rock 2 when Chloe’s character comes over to talk to Nick and he basically turns her down? If you don’t remember it, you can watch it here.

Bridges was lucky enough to play Nick Jonas’s love interest in the movie, and she also happens to be tight with Demi Lovato. Interestingly enough, though, the starlet almost beat Demi out for the role of Mitchie. She told Latina,

The funny thing is I actually auditioned for Camp Rock, I tested against Demi [Lovato] for the role of Mitchie [Torres] – it came down to her and me.

Chloe also dished to Disney Dreaming that while she was a little anxious about meeting Nick and his brothers, the experience was memorable and easy.

I was a little intimidated upon meeting them. I probably wouldn’t have been nervous had I not seen their concert. They are amazing! We hung out a lot before the first day of shooting, so it was great!

2. She Was a Regular On ‘The Carrie Diaries’

In The Carrie Diaries, Chloe played Donna LaDonna, the school’s popular girl who led a clique called ‘The Jens’. While Bridges enjoyed playing the mean, sassy girl, she also loved injecting the character with, well, a heart.

What I like is that she still has that balance. Like, 40 percent of my scenes I’m being nice and 60 percent I’m being my traditional sassy self, which is very fun for me. But I also don’t want people to hate me (laughs). So it’s nice to be nice sometimes too. And definitely with Walt, she has a very sweet relationship and they are very loyal to each other. But also, she also has a relationship with Dorrit. She’s like this twisted mentor to her, which is kind of cool.

In May, The CW cancelled the series.

3. She May Be Paige’s New Love Interest

Wetpaint has noted Sydney getting snug with Paige, and wonders if the two will romantically connect soon. A lot of photos from upcoming episodes have hinted at the prospect of Paige and Sydney being together, but nothing’s certain. For all we know, Sydney could have her sights set on Emily.

Marlene King, the creator of PLL, told the IBTimes that the character of Sydney was created specifically for Bridges.

[Sydney's] storyline, interesting enough, is something we came up with a couple seasons ago. We’ve been waiting for her to be available. We specifically wrote some of this just for this actress, and you’ll understand why as you get to know her character. That’s a little bit of a clue that pays off later.

4. She Dated Cody Linley From 2010-2012

According to Who’s Dated Who, Chloe dated former Disney star Cody Linley. While the two starred together in Forget Me Not, the press didn’t have many photos that proved their romance was anything more than a rumor.

Before the brunette was old enough to be dating, Bridges played the role of Freddie Prince Jr.’s niece on the ABC sitcom, Freddie.

5. She Was Too Uncomfortable to Audition for Fifty Shades of Grey

Bridges told Cosmopolitan last summer that she couldn’t audition for Fifty Shades of Grey because of how intense the content was. She told Cosmo:

here were three pages of sides that I was going to audition with,” she explained. “I read them and then was like, I really can’t do this.

While Bridges didn’t give too much away about the script, she did dish that the word sperm is used multiple times.
