Bendik was a successful business man who runs big clubs all over the country like DBA Nightclub in Hollywood, where he was the Director of Operations. He’s also the co-owner of AV Nightclub. The club has posted the above photo, dedicated to Bendik. TMZ reports:
They say, the last person to see him alive was the manager at a club in Philly just before midnight Wednesday. We’re told police and paramedics responded to the hotel shortly after 1 PM EDT on Thursday — and Bendik was pronounced dead almost immediately at 1:17 PM.
Bendik was in Philadelphia on business and was found dead at the hotel, face down, by one of the hotel maid.
2. The Incident Is Being Called a “Sudden Death”
Bendik and Tobin had been out together the night before and everything seemed fine to those around him. There are still many answers needed in what cause Bendik’s death.
3. Suicide Has Been Ruled Out and No Drugs Were Found at the Scene
Police believe no foul play was involved and there has been no evidence of suicide. Plus, there were no drugs found in the hotel room. The incident report also had no mention of any medications or alcohol. TMZ writes:

4. Bendik Was Not Known as a Big Partier
Friends and family are reportedly shocked by Bendik’s sudden death as he was not a partier and seemed to live a happy life. Though he was in the nightclub business, this was not something that people would have expected to happen to him. NY Daily News gives some background on his successes in nightlife:
Bendik, who ran the Hollywood hot spots DBA and AV, was a go-getter who was just 15 when he got into the nightclub business. He worked as a promoter for the famed Whiskey a Go Go on the Sunset Strip before heading off to study business at Cornell University. When Bendik returned to LA, it was back to the night life and a career that allowed him to rub elbows with celebrities.
5. Girlfriend Becca Tobin Was Reportedly Not With Bendik When He Died
Tobin’s reps have not spoken about the incident and the actress was reportedly not with Bendik when he died. Police are still investigating.
The Hollywood Reporter writes:
It was unclear where Tobin was when the body was discovered. Several of Bendik’s close friends began posting about the news on social media on Thursday evening, with one writing she was “heartbroken.”
