Everyone knows that the annual Comic-Con expo gives fans some great panels regarding their favorite TV shows, films, video games, action figures etc. But you gotta make sure you pay attention to the word “Comic” in the title of this annual event. Comic books makes the foundation of this massive expo thrive year after year.

For comic book fans who want to celebrate the heroes, heroines and super villains they love so much, these are the top 10 comic book panels they need to attend.


1. Marvel Comics’ 75th and Daredevil’s 50th – Sunday, July 27 • 1:45pm – 2:45pm

Marvel Comics has been around for 75 years and they’ve provided the world with heroic tales of grandeur and inspiration. One of their most iconic heroes, Daredevil, is now entering his 50th year as a part of the Marvel Comics roster. This panel will hold a double celebration in honor of this comic book juggernaut and one of its heroes who’s popularity has been revived. Fans can look forward to hearing from Mark Waid (Daredevil), Comic-Con special guests Dan Slott (writer, Superior Spider-Man, Amazing Spider-Man) and Joe Quesada (chief creative officer, Marvel Entertainment).


2. DC Comics: Champions of Justice – Friday, July 25 • 11:15am – 12:15pm

The New 52 has been ripping and running for a long time now. DC Comics fans have been treated to epic clashes between superhero teams, the rebooting of hero origin stories and new titles from comic book veterans. Many of the writers and artists behind the New 52’s ever expanding line of releases will come to speak on what’s next for this comic books movement. Here’s who will be there to speak to the crowd: David Finch (Forever Evil, upcoming Wonder Woman), Meredith Finch (upcoming Wonder Woman), Van Jensen (Green Lantern Corps), Geoff Johns (Justice League, Superman), Jeff Lemire (Futures End, Green Arrow, Justice League United), Charles Soule (Red Lanterns, Superman/Wonder Woman, Swamp Thing) and Robert Venditti (The Flash, Green Lantern).


3. DC Entertainment: Batman 75th Anniversary – Saturday, July 26 • 4:00pm – 5:00pm

If you’re still rocking Batman underoos and watching the 90’s animated series every day, then you have a clue about DC’s darkest hero celebrating his 75th Anniversary. Years of epic clashes with his rogues gallery, Batsuit changes and blockbuster film appearances have made Bruce Wayne’s alter-ego instantly familiar and revered. Kevin Conroy, Paul Dini, Bruce Timm, Ralph Garman, Geoff Johns, Jim Lee and Peter Girardi will be in attendance to speak about Batman’s past, present and immediate future.


4. Marvel: Avengers & X-Men AXIS – Thursday, July 24 • 4:30pm – 5:30pm

Avengers & X-Men: AXIS is the next major crossover storyline to take hold of the Marvel Comics universe. Captain America’s biggest foe, the Red Skull, will do battle with two of Marvel’s biggest superhero teams – The Avengers and the X-Men. You can check out some new art and storyline reveals about this new plot from the following guests – editor-in-chief Axel Alonso, executive editor Mike Marts, senior editor Nick Lowe and Avengers & X-Men: AXIS writer Rick Remender.


5. Skybound’s The Walking Dead – Thursday, July 24 • 4:15pm – 5:15pm

A hit TV show, an awesome line of video games and even more dramatic comic book releases have made Robert Kirkman’s series an even bigger hit. Fans should hit up this panel and hear about the future plans regarding the dark and depressing world of the zombie apocalypse. Along with creator Robert Kirkman, artist Charlie Adlard and editor Sean Mackiewicz will attend this exciting panel.
