4. They Make Each Other Jealous
— Daily Star (@Daily_Star) March 4, 2014
The starlet, who was married to Ryan Reynolds, realizes that this new relationship has brought out some jealous feelings within her.
I didn’t think I was a jealous person until I started dating my current, my one-and-only. I think maybe in the past I didn’t have the same kind of investment. Not that I liked my partner less, I just wasn’t capable of it or caring that much.
Those feelings are mutual, and she added, “Look, I’m with a Frenchman. I think jealousy comes with the territory. But I’d rather be with someone who’s a little jealous than someone who’s never jealous. There’s something a little dead fish about them. A little bit depressing. It may not make sense, but you need to feel it a little.”
5. They’re From Different Worlds
Johansson is from New York, and Dauriac is a native Frenchman. But besides their cultural differences, their careers take them on different paths. Johansson appreciates the diversity.
In an interview with Vanity Fair, she said:
We do different things. He’s in the whole art-scene world. So it’s nice, because we can enjoy each other’s worlds, but we don’t have our crazy conflicting schedules and all that other stuff to contend with. And, you know, of course, actors, in general, they’re obsessed with emotions.
