Yes– you read that correctly. Banks claims in her eighth prediction:

Everyone will have at least one personal robot/assistant/companion.

The robot will have super artificial intelligence and will be able to sense if its owner is having a low-self-esteem day and will then strategically give boosts of confidence to its owner. “Wow, Eloisa! Your eyes look especially lovely today.

2. Global Warming Will Make Us Want To Gain Weight

Under prediction number three, Banks says that global warming will threaten our crops, and natural food will subsequently become scarce. As a result of all this, everyone will yearn for a curvy body, since only wealthy people will have access to “fulfilling yet healthy food”.

3. Plastic Surgery Will Be Like Tylenol

Banks’ top prediction is that people will want to look as unique and different as possible, and will want to stray from a typical, traditional, “cookie-cutter” look.

Banks also added on that peoples skin tones will “mesh” to become a shade similar to her own. She writes,

Typical features and coloring will lean toward a Rihanna or Beyoncé or me kind of look. People with alabaster or ebony skin will be rare and heralded for that uniqueness.

4. A Magic Serum Will Make Your Hair Grow

Banks doesn’t thinks hair extensions will be extinct in the future, and in place of them will be a “hair-growing serum” that can be applied to the scalp that will increase the thickness and length of hair. Now that would be utterly convenient. She also tags on that curly hair will be the fad in the future.

5. Water Will Contour Your Cheekbones

Banks acknowledges that some people still won’t want to get plastic surgery, and has come up with a solution for this particular anti-surgery population. She says:

For those who choose not to go for plastic surgery, beauty ingestibles (active waters, etc.) will give instant, yet temporary results: contoured cheekbones, rosy cheeks, arched eyebrows. However, one must use them repeatedly to maintain results.

The beauty queen hasn’t spoken out in response to all the mockery she’s received about her article, but knowing her, it’s only a matter of time before she says something.
