Waylen Manson will compete on FOX8’s upcoming football reality show The Recruit.
Manson comes from the remote indigenous community Billiluna in Western Australia. The goal kicker missed out on the 2011 AFL national draft.

The reality competition gives 12 amateur football players the chance to win a guaranteed spot on an AFL team at the end of the season.
Former AFL player Ryan “Fitzy” Fitzgerald will host, and AFL Hall of Fame legend Michael “Vossy” Voss will serve as head coach. Former Hawthorn champion and FOX FOOTY commentator Ben Dixon will assist Coach Voss. Fitness guru Darren Burgess will work as the High Performance Coach and sports administrator Leigh Russell as Psychology Coach.
Each week the players will perform in individual and team challenges on and off the field. They will be tested physically and mentally to discover who deserves the coveted spot.
