Adam Driver, the unconventionally handsome actor who has roles in everything from Girls to Star Wars 7, is humbled to be living the dream of any actor.
Rolling Stone described his appeal, saying he has an “elongated face that has the striking ability to appear both monumental and elfin, and a hulkish body that buzzes with nervous energy.”
Learn more about the versatile actor who has quickly become a name to watch in Hollywood.
1. He Plays Lena’s Love Interest
On Girls, he is Adam Sackler, Hannah’s boyfriend, and in the third season is in integrated in the group more than ever.
He told the Daily Beast what makes Adam and Hannah click:
As much as she challenges him, there’s an unspoken chemistry between two people that maybe on the outside seems to not make sense, and maybe they can’t make sense of it themselves—which I think is true of many relationships. And I just think that he loves her.
The connection between the actors is just as strong, as Driver really respects Dunham.
He told Interview,
“Well, she definitely has insight beyond her years. She’s also perpetually happy, which is awesome to be around—having her in the room is really the best scenario if you’re gonna spend that much time being really intimate with someone.”
2. He’s in ‘Star Wars 7′
There’s speculation that he will play a villain in the seventh movie of the beloved franchise.
He’ll reportedly be playing the key villain of the film and the inside details compare the character he’s up for to Darth Vader. We don’t expect a breathing apparatus or a robot-enhanced voice – we’ve had enough of those after General Grievous – but we wouldn’t be surprised if he’s of Sith origin.
In an interview with EW, he acknowledged what an iconic movie he’s been cast in.
“Again, surreal seems to be the word of this interview. It’s exciting to get that to be part of your life. Now you have to contribute something to it—and that’s not something you, personally, or anyone on set takes lightly. I feel like everybody wants to make it good,” he gushed.
We're VERY proud of Adam Driver re: Star Wars. He's about to rip a hole in da force. Is that a thing? I guess I should see those movies?

3. He’s Married
He tied the knot with Joanne Tucker in 2013.
A source told Us Weekly, They are very sweet together. They’ve been dating forever, years, and live together; [they're] very comfortable and in love. She was with him before the Girls fame.”
4. He Was a Marine
He joined after September 11th, telling GQ, “It just seemed like a badass thing to do.”
An injury prevented him from continuing.
I got out early, actually. I was in a mountain biking accident and broke my sternum about three months before my unit was supposed to deploy to Iraq, and it’s such a close-knit community that the idea of not getting to go is hugely jarring, so I tried to get put back in training and wound up injuring it worse. So I got discharged and said, well, I guess I’ll go to acting school now.
5. He Grew Up in Indiana & Now Lives in Brooklyn
He was raised in Mishawaka, Indiana, and to launch his career, the actor moved to New York to attend Juilliard.
Now, he lives in Brooklyn Heights, and told Interview magazine, ” I don’t feel like I have to dress up to go to the deli.”
