1. There’s Buzz that Grande and Big Sean Will Make Their Red Carpet Debut Together at the VMAs
It’s time for the 2014 VMAs and fans are hoping to see Ariana Grande and Big Sean walk the red carpet together. Grande and Big Sean were reportedly seen kissing and out on a date recently. However, sources close to Grande reportedly told E! News that the two are just very good friends. E! News writes:
They have been friends since they made the song together (“Problem”). They have been spending more time together and recently have been getting very close. They are both doing great.
2. Big Sean’s Former Flame Naya Rivera Reportedly Suspected Sean Cheated on her with Grande
Naya Rivera may have just gotten married to Ryan Dorsey, but hearing the news about her ex Big Sean and Ariana Grande had to have hurt, especially because Rivera reportedly believed Sean had cheated on her with Grande in the past. A source told Hollywood Life:
It’s her worst nightmare because she was always sure that Sean was cheating on her with Ariana, they fought about that a lot.” Wow! During Naya and Sean’s relationship, Naya thought her man was cheating on her with Ari. Sean would tell her she was crazy and jealous, he swore to her that Ariana was just a friend, he even said she was like a little sister. Naya feels like this is proof that she was right all along and Sean was hooking up with Ariana. She doesn’t want him back, but it’s still a huge wound and she’s hurt and she’s angry.
3. The Two Came Out With Hit Single “Right There”
Grande and Big Sean have worked on several songs together and one of them is “Right There.” Check out the video above. Wikipedia reports:
Grande has referred to “Right There” as “sort of a sequel” to her first hit single “The Way” due to the songs’ similarities in melody and composition. The singer spoke of the mutual interest she and rapper Big Sean felt in wanting to collaborate but mentioned that it took some time for them to find the right song.
4. Grande And Big Sean Set a Record With Their New Song “Best Mistake”
On August 11, 2014, Ariana Grande and Big Sean dropped their song “Best Mistake” with an audio video. Have a listen above. Headline Planet writes about the single here:
Neither an official single nor the recipient of a televised promotional piece, Ariana Grande’s “Best Mistake (featuring Big Sean)” had no prayer of debuting atop Billboard’s Digital Songs chart. It did, however, rank as the week’s best-selling debut. It also assisted Grande in setting a chart record … It shares a presence in the Top 6 with two other Grande songs–her “Bang Bang” collaboration with Jessie J and Nicki Minaj (131,000, #2) and “Break Free (featuring Zedd)” (116,000, #4). No female artist has ever simultaneously occupied three spots within the Top 6 of the Digital Songs chart. And no artist of either gender has done so since Michael Jackson posthumously achieved the feat in July 2009.
How remarkable is that?
5. Grande Broke Up With Boyfriend Jai Brooks Weeks Ago
— Brooks marry me (@crystalllus) August 18, 2014
A source close to Grande told E! News the reason for Grande’s break up with Janoskian Jai Brooks:
When her grandfather was dying, everyone was there for her. People flew to Florida to be with her, but Jai didn’t. Ariana just felt he wasn’t there like he should have been.
This wasn’t the first break up for the couple, but perhaps Grande’s really moved on this time.
