Here’s what you need to know about the supermodel’s career and personal life.
1. She Eats Pizza & Beer
The physically fit model stunned the world when she posted the Instagram picture above with the caption, “What happens when your shoot wraps at 1 am.”
Food-wise, I’m very, very lucky that I can eat whatever I want. For me, I’ve always had a healthy lifestyle. If I eat something that’s not fresh, I feel it immediately, so I crave good food. I crave meat. I grew up on a dairy and beef farm, so I crave that. I don’t cut anything out, and I just work out more.
2. She Wore a 10-Millon-Dollar Bra
In 2013, she was chosen to wear the coveted “fantasy Bra” with a price tag of 10 million dollars. The pricey lingerie, shown above, is nicknamed “The Royal” and is designed with 4,200 precious gems from around the world like rubies, diamonds, and yellow sapphires.
The Victoria’s Secret Angel was considering quitting modeling when she was working in Paris, until the brand called her. “Victoria’s Secret had asked to see me, so my agent told me that I should come to New York, meet them, and if they signed me up I’d move. And if they didn’t sign me, I was going to go back to South Africa,” she told the site Mr. Blasberg.
In an interview with Victoria’s Secret, she dished on the best parts of her job being, “getting to travel to the most beautiful islands and most luxurious hotels in the world.”
She also listed the least glamourous as, “4:30 am call times, missed and delayed flights…and having your hair pulled.”

3. She’s Dating a Male Model
Her boyfriend is Brazilian model Hermann Nicoli.
They met in Paris when she was just 17 and they’ve been dating ever since.
The couple now lives in New York City together.
4. She Grew Up on a Farm in South Africa
On her personal website, she opens with:
I was born in a little South African village called Mooi River, where I grew up on a dairy and beef farm. I spent my childhood surrounded by life, love, nature and family. As a little girl I always knew I wanted to do something different, something my family and I could be proud of one day.
In an interview with ET, she talked about her childhood dream to become a ballet dancer.
“I was a ballerina in South Africa before I went to general girls boarding school. That was what I actually wanted to do. I wanted to go to ballet school in New York,” she said.
5. She Was Discovered at a Flea Market
She told Mr. Blasberg, “I was discovered shopping with my mom at a local flea market in the city by our farm. I met with an agency and, before I knew it, I was whisked off to London.”
Life proved to be lonely for the young model as she was starting out. She continued, “It can be a lonely life as a new model, like being a gypsy – until you find a base to call home.”
