The bench that helped Robin Williams earn an Oscar is now the site of an impromptu memorial for the late actor, thanks to a few fans in Boston.

They brought flowers and chalk, and found two fans already sitting on the bench. Hook has already gotten some love (Bangarang!).

In addition, a memorial has also been started on the steps of the San Fran house made famous in Mrs. Doubtfire. Flowers and a small Oscar statue have been placed on Williams’ walk of fame star, mementos have been left in front of Williams’ home and items for support have even been left outside the home of Rebecca Erwin Spencer, the assistant who discovered Williams’ body.

  1. God Bye dear Rob.
Finally, You are exactly where you belong. I will really miss you. I liked you very much. But unfortunately we always worship the dead.
    God bless you Rob
    REST IN PEACE ROB

  2. What kind of so called “Christian “church pickets any funeral !!! Let the people who Want to remember the life of any person in revererence and love?

  3. Depression is no excuse, suicide is still one of the worst deadly sins against God you don’t get to pick and choose when you leave this life, he’ll be judged by the same Creator as you and I.

    • Howl! This god of yours slays me. Where was the ‘loving, caring, all-knowing’ son of a bitch when Robin needed help?

    • Depression is a disease. God would not consider a brain tumor a sin, nor does he consider depression a sin. You need to educate yourself and watch your mouth at this time of loss. Have some respect and be tactful. God loves everyone and he is taking care of Robin Williams.

    • Well I guess your god will punish everyone with oh let’s say the flu, cancer diabetics, lupus, high blood pressure. You are stupid and to be felt sorry for.

    • you are a freeking idiot.. obviously you’ve never been so depressed that a white light takes over and draws you in… barely unstopable…..get a clue… research before you spew disgusting comments !!!!!!

    • You are wrong sir, depression is a horrible illness , so is parkinsons disease. God will judge and not you, who knows what his last thought or prayer was at the end of his life. Who are you to judge.

  4. When I was growing up robin, was a small but integral part of my life, patch addams, bicentennial man, what dreams may come, those movies made me think about my mortality something no other movie had done before for me. I was defined by that, and Im only sorry I never got the chance to meet him in person. Rest in peace, robin.

  5. Church this church that.. I am so beyond tired of religon being brought into EVERYTHING! Shit, just let people mourne. Karmas a bitch, so for all who think they know best… Depression is something that causes a chemical imbalance in the brain. The brain is not working right. He isn’t selfish for what he did, he did what he thought was right.. Depression talks, sometimes you are yourself and sometimes you are this unrecognizable person. It affects the way you think, eat, Process, react, feel. Learn a little before judging, or better yet go through depression yourself. That was the hardest thing I have ever done in my life was battling depression.. You won’t understand unless you’ve been there. I do not believe in god, but no sin is worst or better than any other. If you judge your techinally going to hell just like all the “Homosexuals” so get off the high horse because you’re no better. But this “Fag” is signing out, I’m gonna go jumping around downtown flirting with anything that is guy while throwing pixie dust behind me. Give me a break…. R.I.P Robin Williams

  6. Robin Williams DID made many laugh. How sudden and instant a life can be taken away like that. BUT SURELY, Robin wouldn’t want us [his fans] to weep, instead laugh at his funeral. There’ll be lots of laughter in heaven. “R.I.P. Happy Feet and Aladdin.”

  7. May you find peace at last, Robin. And some measure of the love and happiness you brought others.

Now if there’s a smile on my face
It’s only there trying to fool the public
But when it comes down to fooling you
Now honey that’s quite a different subject

But don’t let my glad expression
    Give you the wrong impression
Really I’m sad, oh sadder than sad
You’re gone and I’m hurting so bad
Like a clown I pretend to be glad

Now there’s some sad things known to man
But ain’t too much sadder than
    the tears of a clown
    When there’s no one around

Oh yeah baby, now if I appear to be carefree
It’s only to camouflage my sadness
In order to shield my pride I try
To cover this hurt with a show of gladness

But don’t let my show convince you
That I’ve been happy since you decided to go
Oh, I need you so, I’m hurt and I want you to know
But for others I put on a show

Now there’s some sad things known to man
But ain’t too much sadder than
    the tears of a clown
When there’s no one around, oh yeah

    Just like Pagliacci did
I try to keep my sadness hid
    Smiling in the public eye
But in my lonely room cry
    the tears of a clown
    When there’s no one around

    Oh, yeah baby
Now if there’s a smile upon my face
    Don’t let my glad expression
    Give you the wrong impression
Don’t let the smile I wear
Make you think that I don’t care
    Really I’m sad
    I’m hurting so bad

    – Smokey Robinson

  8. Although he chose his own way to die you need to remember GOD is a forgiving GOD his last breath could have been one of forgiveness’.Either way who are you to judge . You can’t unless you are sin free Anyway that’s enough of that,my comment is to Mr. Williams family my heart and prayers are with you rite now .ignore those who know mo better
I remember seeing your dad for the first time ever on Happy Days ,Then Mork and Mindy. My family loves all of his work.Aladdin,Bicentennial Man, Ms
Doubtfire. I can’t think of any movie or program that I have ever seen that I didn’t enjoy or laugh my ass off
I have also had the honor of introducing’ his movies to my children, grandchildren, and lord willing my great grandchildren. Thank you for sharing his laughter with me and my family for so many years and thanks to technology for sharing his laughter in the years to come. There are angels crying from the sheer laughter he has brought to heaven this week
And, I am very proud to say that Imy father is one of those angels

  9. Even god can change his mind about how he see’s the world who’s to say that he now believes that homosexuallity is a valid form of love and that it is no longer a sin. Shame on your entire church shame on you all! And I thought protestants were supposed to be supporters of change. You are an embarrassment on your children, your nation, and your lord.

  10. My thought on this so called “BAPTIST CHURCH” is that if it is a sin to do what Robin Williams did is it not a sin to judge him or others!!
