1. She’s Nominated at the Emmys for Orange Is The New Black
Orange Is The New Black has 12 nominations tonight and one of them is for Taylor Schilling for her character Piper Chapman. Check out Schilling in a scene from the Netflix sensation above.
2. Zac Efron Co-Starred With Her in The Lucky One
If you don’t know Schilling from Orange Is the New Black, then you probably saw her starring in The Lucky One alongside Zac Efron, where she played the role of Beth. Her very first film debut in the movie Dark Matter, alongside Meryl Streep.
3. Her Childhood Wasn’t a Walk in the Park
In an interview with Allure magazine, Schilling talked about her childhood and said she had a rough time with it.
It was tough at home, and it was tough at school. My experience was painful, so painful. There was a period of time I had very short hair, and I had glasses, and I was very tall for my age.
She said her youth was not easy for her.

Schilling starred in a single season TV show called Mercy and Wikipedia reports:
In 2009, she was selected to star in the NBC medical drama Mercy, as Nurse Veronica Flanagan Callahan, a tough Iraq War veteran and former military nurse-turned-medical practitioner. Reading for the part via videotape from New York City, she impressed the show’s creator and executive producer, Liz Heldens, who then flew her out to Los Angeles to audition for the role. In Heldens’ words, “she just blew the doors off the audition.”
5. She’s a Huge Boston Red Sox Fan
Taylor Schilling is from Boston and is a huge Red Sox fan. She claims that she’s always the girl who shows up in jeans, but she can dress up her outfit by making them fancy jeans.
