WATCH: Bethany Mota & Derek Hough’s Paso Doble Performance: ‘Dancing With The Stars’

Bethany Mota has had a stressful week on Dancing With The Stars as her energy has been extremely low after a grueling work schedule. Hough makes her do her steps over and over again, hoping the energy will come. Tonight’s performance was devilish, powerful and seductive as Hough and Mota took on the Paso Doble. Surrounded by red and male dancers with drums, Mota and Hough battled it out on the ballroom floor in an intense, theatrical routine. The first judge to praise their dance was Bruno Tonioli, who couldn’t stay in his chair. Judge Len Goodman, however, felt the routine got lost in all the bells and whistles. While Hough’s sister Julianne said she agreed that it can be easy to get lost in that kind of production, but that wasn’t the case with them.

The couple received a 10, 9, 10, and 10 from the judges, with a 39 out of 40 for their total score.
