There has been a lot of hype surrounding Ryan Seacrest and Taylor Swift this year when it comes to New Year’s. Last year, Seacrest locked lips with Miley Cyrus for his midnight kiss and this year viewers want to see Seacrest kiss Taylor Swift, who is the big performer of the night. One person who is definitely rooting for the two to kiss is Seacrest’s co-host Jenny McCarthy. McCarthy has been pushing for it, though Seacrest has shied away from the subject a bit.
Currently, both Seacrest and Swift are reportedly single, so the time is as good as any for Seacrest to seal the deal. So, did they do it? There was no kiss shown on television. Seacrest shared his coat with Swift and a hug, but that was about it. On an interesting note, Swift’s not getting kissed prompted a Twitter trend of viewers taking photos smooching their television sets. Here’s an example below:
