As Katy Perry takes the stage at the 2015 Super Bowl, we remember when she first stepped onto the scene in 2008 with her song “I Kissed a Girl.” Since then, the singer has changed how we look at Cherry Chapstick and pop music. In fact, some even call the California native the “Queen of Pop,” and it’s no secret why. The 30-year-old has created hit after hit while endorsing major brands and even making signature perfumes. Here are some impressive stats and facts about the songstress.

According to Forbes, she earned an estimated $40 million in 2014. According to Celebrity Net Worth, she is worth $130 million.

There were early reports that the NFL was asking artists to pay to perform at the Halftime Show. As far as her payment or non payment goes, she told the Associated Press, “I put my foot down very early in the courtship. I said, ‘Look guys, here’s where I draw a line in the sand.’ I want to be invited on my own merits and not with some fine print.” She also told ESPN’s College GameDay, “I have let them know that I’m not the kind of girl who would pay to play the Super Bowl. The ball is in their field.”

Her second album, Teenage Dream, won her five chart-topping singles, which made her the only other artist aside from Michael Jackson to accomplish that. For her California Dreams Tour, she played 124 shows from February 2011 to January 2012 and, according to Forbes, grossed close to $60 million.

Her most recent concert tour, The Prismatic World Tour, was the fourth best-selling in the world, according to Pollstar, and the best-selling by a solo female in 2014 with a gross of $153 million.

Her Endorsements

Aside from the music, Perry builds her empire by being the face of major brands.

In October of 2013, she took to Twitter to announce her becoming a brand ambassador for Cover Girl.

She also promoted Pop Chips with some tongue-in-chips print ads with slogans like “Bite Me,” “Nothin’ Fake About ‘Em” and “Love Without the Handles.”
