‘Nashville’ Returns: Season 3 Spoilers & Episodes Guide

Nashville returns with tons of new drama for you for the second half of season 3 and we’ve got all the spoilers we could gather to get you geared up for it. Episode 11 is titled “I’m Not that Good at Goodbye” and the synopsis reads: Now that Rayna has cancelled their wedding, Luke is not going quietly, and Rayna’s own daughters don’t take the news well, either. Juliette and Avery adjust to married life with a few bumps along the way, and Gunnar fights for custody of Micah. Sadie tries to take control of her own problems with her ex by buying a gun, and Deacon gets dire news about his medical condition. Of the premiere episode tonight, TV Guide writes:

While Rayna’s feelings for Deacon certainly played a role in her giving Luke the heave-ho, Wednesday’s winter premiere finds the country superstar wanting to take things slowly with her longtime love. But time may not be on the couple’s side, as Deacon gets even more foreboding news about his cancer diagnosis that he’s not exactly eager to share with Rayna.

Rolling Stone reported: This season, the Broadway-gone-Nashville star (Will Chase) will perform “If I Drink This Beer,” a song in which Luke debates having just one more and then telling his ex-fiancée, Rayna Jaymes, exactly how he feels. Actor Will Chase told Rolling Stone:

This half of the season, it’s fun that I’m not doing the bro country stuff anymore, even though I love doing that stuff. We get to go inside Luke a little bit; I appreciate the writers doing that.

He continues:

I don’t think Rayna is completely innocent in all this, and there’s a couple of scenes where he lets her know that. The fun part for me is that now Luke’s not afraid to show his feelings. That’s a little departure for Luke.

Actor Sam Palladio says you should have some sympathy for Gunnar this season and stated:

Gunnar’s life has really been full of loss. It always seems that whenever he’s just feeling comfortable — be it Scarlett and the rejection of the marriage proposal, losing a record deal with Rayna, or Zoey leaving him because she wasn’t ready to handle being a family — there is loss. It’s quite a journey.

Episode 12 “I’ve Got Reasons To Hate You” will air February 11, 2015 and the synopsis reads: Rayna brushes off rumors about her and Luke’s breakup as she prepares to return to the stage; Scarlett plans a surprise for Deacon; Gunnar travels to Austin intent on mending fences with his estranged nephew.

Episode 13 “I’m Lost Between Right or Wrong” will air February 18, 2015.

Episode 14 “Somebody Pick Up My Pieces” will air February 25, 2015.
