Corey Kent White is a contestant from Team Blake Shelton on The Voice 2015 and his family couldn't be prouder. His father Kevin White told Tulsa World: I am in awe of Corey’s composure, not only while he is performing but even during the seemingly endless hours while waiting for America’s votes to be revealed. He has exceeded every expectation we could have as parents, and we are so proud of him for reaching the top 10. White is enjoying his time as a contestant on the show, but he uses his faith in God to bring him down to Earth each week, revealing that: It just reminds me that I am not doing this to please any man. I’m not doing this for any person’s approval. As long as I go through the competition with integrity and it’s pleasing in God’s eyes, then I have done my job here. If I honored him in what I believe and not compromised my moral strength, then I have done my job ... Obviously, I want to win and I want to be the best musician I can possibly be, but it’s who I am as a person and a man that’s more important to me than anything.
