Riker Lynch, Noah Galloway and Willow Shields are the underdogs in the Dancing With The Stars. Though they haven’t always been the most voted for in the competition, they have each earned amazing scores and keep the fire going each week on the show. For season 20, Riker Lynch is paired with pro dancer Allison Holker, Noah Galloway is with Sharna Burgess, and Willow Shields is dancing with Mark Ballas. Galloway has a huge following as a double amputee soldier with an immense love for his fellow soldier girlfriend Jamie Boyd. He is able to do amazing things on the dance floor because of the determination and strength he has even though he is missing an arm and a leg. He’s been in the bottom before, which surprised many because of the consistent praise he gets from the judges on the show. Hopefully we get to see him dance in the ballroom for another few weeks.
Willow Shields is only 14 years old, which may work against her, but it’s actually worked in her favor. With all the rehearsals and non-stop dancing, Shields has an easier time keeping up than other contestants in the competition. Her dance routines have improved immensely each week and she often scores very well with the judges. If she beefs up her following a little bit more, she could definitely make it to the finals.
Riker Lynch is the cousin of Julianne Hough and Derek Hough, who are veterans on the show, but insists he’s never had any ballroom training prior to being on the show. His footwork and dancing has been amazing and he’s scored at the top of the leader board. Even so, he needs a bigger boost from fans who aren’t delivering as many votes as they should. While many are in awe of performances from Rumer Willis and Nastia Liukin this season, Riker Lynch could easily give them a run for their money. He’s definitely the best male contestant in the competition and could go all the way.
