Boxer Laila Ali, 37, appears on tonight's episode of The Bachelorette to act as a judge in the very first group date of the season, which is a boxing date. A group of the contestants must face-off in a few rounds of boxing to fight for the love of star Kaitlyn Bristowe. Ali is the daughter of legendary boxer Muhammad Ali and mother Veronica Porsche Ali, who is an actress. Her parents married in 1977 and divorced in 1986, though her dad married four times and has seven daughters, along with two sons. Ali is the youngest daughter of her siblings. Following in the footsteps of her father, Ali became an undefeated American professional boxer, who is now retired. When Ali first came out about becoming a boxer, it was during an interview with Diane Sawyer, and, unfortunately, her father was not very happy about her decision at first.
Ali, who stands at 5'10", has been awarded the titles of Super Middleweight Champion by the International Boxing Association in 2002 and Super Middleweight Champion by the International Women's Boxing Federation in 2005. Prior to becoming a boxer, Ali actually owned her own nail salon, where she was a manicurist. In addition to boxing and nails, Ali has made several television appearances, much like her actress mother. She also was a participant on Dancing With the Stars
in 2007, with pro partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy. Ali came in third place on the show. Other programs that Ali has appeared on include Chopped: All Stars, American Gladiators, Real Husbands Of Hollywood
and Celebrity Family Feud
Ali has been married twice. Her first marriage was to Johnny "Yahya" McClain, who she married on August 27, 2000. He became her manager until the two divorced in 2005. A little less than two years later, Ali married former NFL player Curtis Conway and they had two children together - son Curtis Muhammad Conway, Jr. and daughter Sydney Jurldine Conway. Conway had three children from a previous relationship.
