In 2011, after losing her job and going through a divorce – which resulted in her losing the stepson she was raising—she reached her highest weight of 360 pounds. Determined never to see that number again, Tiffany designated 2011 her “Year of Loss,” losing 80 pounds. But now she’s hit a wall and has decided to reach out to Chris and Heidi Powell for help.

4. Her Step-Son Was Diagnosed With Childhood Disintegrative Disorder

Tiffany has spent a great deal of her life helping those in need and with disabilities. In addition to her son Mason having autism, her step-son deals with Childhood Disintegrative Disorder. The definition of this disease is:

The childhood disintegrative disorder (CDD), also known as Heller’s syndrome and disintegrative psychosis, is a rare condition characterized by late onset of developmental delays in language, social function, and motor skills. Researchers have not been successful in finding a cause for the disorder. CDD has some similarity to autism, and is sometimes considered a low-functioning form of it.
