‘The Bastard Executioner’ Season 1: Episode 4 Spoilers

It’s going from bad to much, much worse on the latest episode of theĀ Bastard Executioner.

The FX drama debuts a brand-new episode, titled “A Hunger/Newyn” on Tuesday night and the the people of Ventrishire will face a whole new set of problems. The town is struggling with famine and starvation as food supplies run low in the country that was formerly run by Ventris (Brian O’Byrne).

Although the Brony of Ventrishire is now being ruled by Ventris’ wife, Lady Love (Flora Spencer-Longhurst), the hostility between the Welsh and the English has yet to subside. Lady Love also faces her own challenges as she heads to Windsor to hear the fate of Ventrishire from King Edward II. It won’t be a particularly pleasant visit either, especially after the Baroness decided to spare the life of a young girl captured by her knights, despite calls from Milus (Stephen Moyer) for her head.

But, what about Wilkin (Lee Jones)?

Despite not notching much screen-time in the latest promo video, the title character is still focused intently on his quest for revenge. Wilkin will also cross path with Maddox, the journeyman execution who didn’t receive compensation for his punisher services at Pryceshire.

Wilkin’s daily treks to the Far Caverns have also failed to go unnoticed. Expect those walks to have to a big-time impact on upcoming episodes as well.

The Bastard Executioner airs on Tuesday at 10 p.m. on FX.
