Alexa PenaVega and pro partner Mark Ballas took on the song “I’m a Slave 4 U” by Britney Spears on tonight’s episode of Dancing With the Stars. Tonight is a night of iconic dances and this is one of them. PenaVega felt very intimidated to do this dance because Spears carries such a huge snake in her performance. To get ready for the dance, PenaVega rehearses with a big yellow python just a day before the live performance. She worries about getting bitten by the snake as well as getting down the choreography.
The routine starts off with PenaVega lying down in a cage before she greets a grungy-looking Mark Ballas on the dance floor. The two perform a great deal of the original choreography, but add in some of their own new moves as well.
Judge Carrie Ann Inaba felt that PenaVega did a great job, but she missed the essence of Britney. Guest judge Olivia Newton-John felt that PenaVega was very brave for holding the snake and thought she was very sexy. Bruno Tonioli loved the routine and thought PenaVega was amazing as well as deliciously sexy.

Last week PenaVega killed it in the “switch-up” episode with Derek Hough, receiving the first perfect score of the season.
